While upset-minded teams like the United States, South Korea and Turkey dominated the headlines in 2002, traditional powers are dominating in Germany.

With the quarterfinals set to begin on Friday, arguably only the Netherlands (dispatched by Portugal) and Spain (eliminated by France) are missing from the lists of most recognizable soccer nations.
