NFC West opponents certainly will have something to say about that. The Arizona Cardinals went out and got Edgerrin James to revive their running game. The St. Louis Rams hired Scott Linehan to replace Mike Martz in hopes of balancing the offense and getting the team back into the playoffs. Meanwhile, Mike Nolan and the 49ers look to bounce back and cause trouble with an improved cast and Norv Turner around to improve an offense that struggled mightily under young Alex Smith.
How will things play out in the NFC West in 2006? Will the Seahawks get back to the Super Bowl? Will Edgerrin James put the Cardinals over the top and into the playoffs? Which Rams player will benefit most from the head coaching change? And is Alex Smith ready to make a big jump as a sophomore?
