College football season is here and, depending on who you talk to, there are numerous teams receiving national championship mention. But in order to get that far, conference bragging rights must come first.

Six teams garnered first-place votes in the AP Preseason Top 25, and other contenders possess favorable schedules or multiple opportunities to move the meter, so it's sure to be another wild ride each week on the college gridiron.

Does anyone in the Big 12 stand a chance of knocking Texas from its perch? Can Ohio State go wire-to-wire as the nation's top dawg? Or will one of many tough Big Ten foes take the Bucks out? How will the Trojans fare in their first season without Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush? Will West Virginia and Louisville decide the Big East champion in their meeting on November 2? And which team will come out on top in an extremely competitive SEC?
