Vote: Will Zito make it in San Fran?

Can Zito lead the Giants to glory?
After looking all over for starting pitching help, the Giants decided to prospect for gold close to home, signing durable lefty Barry Zito to a seven-year, $126 million contract.

It's a short hop for Zito, who has spent his entire career in the relatively laid-back baseball atmosphere of Oakland. By many accounts, Barry spends much of his time on "Planet Zito", so the bigger market of the City by the Bay may not shine too harshly on his big, looping curveball.

Optimists beware, however: it hasn't been an easy transition for the other two members of Oakland's seminal Big Three. Tim Hudson struggled in Atlanta in 2006, while injury-plagued Mark Mulder put up an ERA over 7.00 in his second year in St. Louis.

Can Zito break the pattern? Will he be San Francisco's ace in 2007? Will he be the missing piece of the Giants puzzle that eluded them in 2006? SportsNation, tell us what you think!
