Vote: Is Turner the right man for the Chargers job?

 San Diego Chargers
Marty Schottenheimer was hired to replace Norv Turner with the Redskins in 2001. Six years later, the shoe is on the other foot.

The Chargers have agreed in principle with Turner to become their next head coach. Of the six candidates the team interviewed, only Turner had head-coaching experience, with an underwhelming 58-82-1 record with Washington and Oakland.

The knock on Schottenheimer has always been his inability to win in the playoffs. Turner, meanwhile, has only reached the playoffs once in his nine seasons.

Is Turner an upgrade over Schottenheimer? Would hiring Ted Cottrell as defensive coordinator be a better hire for the Chargers than Turner as head coach? Will Turner get the Chargers to the Super Bowl in the next two seasons? Give us your vote!
