The 2007 NFL schedule is out! And that means it's time to start overanalyzing each teams schedule and making predictions for '07, even before the NFL draft changes each team's makeup. But before we do that let's take a look at what SportsNation predicted for the Atlanta Falcons in 2006 and what their final record actually looked like.

2006 SportsNation Prediction: 12-4
2006 Atlanta Falcons record: 7-9

We could give you a break seeing as the Falcons were a very erratic team in '06. Anticipated loses to Pittsburgh and Cincinnati turned out to be wins, and an expected string of victories against the likes of Detroit, Cleveland, and Baltimore actually resulted in a long mid-season losing streak, tough to criticize you on those missed picks. Nevertheless, it is hard to understand how fans expected to go 4-0 against the NFC East, especially with late season games against Dallas and at Philadelphia. Their final record in '06 versus the NFC East, 1-3.
