The 2007 NFL schedule is out! And that means it's time to start overanalyzing each teams schedule and making predictions for '07, even before the NFL draft changes each team's makeup. But before we do that let's take a look at what SportsNation predicted for the Baltimore Ravens in 2006 and what their final record actually looked like.
2006 SportsNation Prediction: 7-9
2006 Baltimore Ravens record: 13-3
Don't quit your day job, SportsNation. That is, unless your day job is "NFL prognosticator" or "Vegas oddsmaker". In that case, might we suggest a new vocation? To be entirely fair, it's not as though the Ravens were a preseason favorite, what with an aging Jamal Lewis, an aging Ray Lewis, and a way-past-the-concept-of-age Steve McNair getting a lot of playing time. However, you expected them to lose to the Buccanneers, Bengals (twice!), and Steelers (twice!). Their record in those games? 5-0.
You'll probably do better this year, but only because it's tough to do much worse than your 2006 Ravens predictions. Scroll down to vote on every game this season!
