The 2007 NFL schedule is out! And that means it's time to start overanalyzing each teams schedule and making predictions for '07, even before the NFL draft changes each team's makeup. But before we do that let's take a look at what SportsNation predicted for the St. Louis Rams in 2006 and what their final record actually looked like.
2006 SportsNation Prediction: 10-6
2006 St. Louis Rams record: 8-8
Pretty good job with the Rams, SportsNation. St. Louis did not exactly have an easy schedule to pick, with games against Denver, at Chicago, at San Diego, at Carolina, and of course two meetings against division rival Seattle. You did not nail this one, but two picks off is nothing to sneeze at. The deciding factor here was the unexpected competitiveness of the NFC West, two predicted wins at San Francisco and against Arizona turned out to be losses. Perhaps next time around a bit more respect is due to those two division rivals.
