The 2007 NFL schedule is out! And that means it's time to start overanalyzing each teams schedule and making predictions for '07, even before the NFL draft changes each team's makeup. But before we do that let's take a look at what SportsNation predicted for the Seattle Seahawks in 2006 and what their final record actually looked like.
2006 SportsNation Prediction: 14-2
2006 Seattle Seahawks record: 9-7
SportsNation, we'll give you a bit of a pass on this one considering the Seahawks were coming off a Super Bowl appearance, and the NFC West was expected to be a division Seattle could easily handle. But when the 49ers swept the Seahawks late in the year, we soon learned the NFC West was not as weak as it first appeared. A stronger division, however, does not completely justify your overconfident picks (see the expected wins at Chicago and against San Diego). Mediocrity is the word that comes to mind when looking at these picks.
