| Will Bob Huggins take West Virginia to its first Final Four since 1959? |
He was forced out at Cincinnati, then was given an opportunity to coach again in a major conference by a Kansas State program in need of a boost. Huggins provided that right away with a 22-win season, an NIT berth and a top-notch 2007 recruiting class. But we'll never know how things would have played out in Manhattan for Huggins.
Now, he has reportedly accepted the head coaching job at West Virginia, his alma mater. It's likely his "dream job", but did he do Kansas State University wrong by leaving after just one season? What kind of success would he have had there had he stayed? Will he make West Virginia a perennial title threat in the near future? And with so many coaches leaving their programs and the players they recruited behind, should the NCAA consider allowing players to transfer without making them sit out a year?
