1) Who is the best No. 7 pick of all-time?

Champ Bailey (1999)
The book is just starting to be written on Bailey, who last season tied for the NFL lead with 10 interceptions. Drafted originally by the Redskins, the former Georgia Bulldog was dealt to Denver in 2004 and after a semi-rough year of adjustment, has been the best cornerback in football ever since and has now been named to 7 straight Pro Bowls. Bailey has totaled 39 interceptions in 8 seasons, 18 of those thefts coming in the last 2 years.

Willie Buchanon (1972)
A former standout at San Diego State, Buchanon played his first 7 seasons with the Packers (1972-78) and the last 4 with the Chargers (1979-82), and when it was all said and done this unsung defender totaled 28 interceptions and went to 3 Pro Bowls. Buchanon began his career in an era when defensive backs could maul receivers, and was able to make the adjustment when the league changed the rules in 1978 to open up the passing game.

Terry Glenn (1996)
The second wide receiver taken in the impressive first-round class of '96, Glenn has not put up the career numbers of a Marvin Harrison or a Keyshawn Johnson but has proved to be a very good receiver, totaling 593 receptions and 44 scores in his stints with the Patriots, Packers and Cowboys. In his first season, Glenn set a then-rookie record with 90 catches and was a key component of the Patriots? Super Bowl XXXI team.

Thomas Jones (2000)
Jones enters his 8th NFL season with his fourth team after being traded to the Jets in March. Originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals, Jones shortly found his way to Tampa. But it's his work with the Bears the last 3 years that has been impressive, running for 3,493 yards and 22 scored in 45 games with Chicago; in 4 seasons with the Cards and Bucs, Jones rushed for only 1,891 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Junior Miller (1980)
The Falcons' offense of the late 1970s and early '80s was electrifying with QB Steve Bartkowski pulling the trigger, and the one-time Cornhusker added another dimension. A two-time Pro Bowler (his first 2 seasons in the league), Miller caught 46 passes for 9 scores as a rookie and added 32 receptions and 3 touchdowns in his second year. Unfortunately, his career was very short-lived.

Mike Pruitt (1976)
There were plenty of excellent running backs roaming the field in the 1970s and early '80s, and while Pruitt may not have been a superstar he was highly productive. A two-time Pro Bowler and the power back in the Browns' high-powered offense that featured QB Brian Sipe, TE Ozzie Newsome, etc., Pruitt spent his first 9 years in Cleveland and the last 2 with the Chiefs, totaling 7,378 yards rushing, running for 1,000-plus yards 4 times with the Browns.

Sterling Sharpe (1988)
A career cut short by injury, Sharpe still managed to make quite an impression. In just 7 NFL seasons (5 of those Pro Bowl campaigns), the former Gamecock snared 595 passes for 8,134 yards and 65 touchdowns. In 1992, Sharpe set a then-NFL record with 108 receptions and just to prove it wasn't a fluke, broke that mark a year later with 112 catches--making him the first player in NFL history to catch 100-plus passes in consecutive seasons.

Phil Simms (1979)
Little-know Morehead State produced a champion in Simms, who led New York to one title and had them headed toward another before going down in a December loss to the Bills (the team the Giants would defeat in Super Bowl XXV with QB Jeff Hostetler). His amazing 22-of-25 passing performance in the Giants' 39-20 win over the Broncos in Super Bowl XXI (in which he earned game MVP honors) is one of the great achievements in postseason history.

Troy Vincent (1992)
Although originally selected by the Dolphins where he was a solid player doe 4 years, Vincent's best days came with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he played for 8 seasons (1996-03), totaled 28 of his 47 career interceptions and went to 5 Pro Bowls. Like most qualities corners that have a nose for the ball, Vincent made the conversion to safety in his latter years.

Bryant Young (1994)
A rookie on San Francisco's last Super Bowl championship team (XXIX), Young has been a mainstay through the good times and the more-recent lean years for one of the league's most successful franchises. Versatile enough to play either defensive end or inside, the one-time Golden Domer has totaled 83.0 sacks in 13 seasons, and has been named to 4 Pro Bowls.
