Four worthy challengers remain in the Buffalo Sabres, Ottawa Senators, Anaheim Ducks and Detroit Red Wings, but only one will drink from the Stanley Cup.

As best measured by the length and density of the participants' playoff beards, the NHL playoffs have reached the conference finals. And for all the effort exerted thus far by the four remaining teams, that means they're only halfway to the ultimate goal of hoisting hockey's ultimate hardware.
