Vote: Who were baseball's best in May?

Kevin Youkilis had a 22-game hit streak in May.
May is rapidly coming to a close, and it's time to assess the second month of Major League baseball's 2007 season.

Several players with hot starts cooled off rapidly this month. Alex Rodriguez' stellar April was followed up by a mediocre May, coinciding with the Yankees' slide toward the bottom of the AL East. J.D. Drew and Bobby Abreu are both mired in slumps, while Richie Sexson and Adam LaRoche can't seem to get it going in May.

Meanwhile, the right side of the Red Sox infield has vaulted Boston up the standings, with Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis both working on lengthy hitting streaks.Chad Gaudin and Fausto Carmona have shown signs of living up to their limitless potential, while Jack Cust emerged from the wilderness of the minor leagues to club homer after homer in Oakland.
