Three teams garnered first-place votes in the AP Preseason Top 25, and the possibility of a logjam of undefeated teams at the top the polls, come bowl-selection time, is a very real possibility. Only one thing is for certain, it's going to be a wild ride each week on the college gridiron.
But before fans can start dreaming of a national title, the conference crowns must be handed out. And there are plenty of uncertainties in each of the major conferences, as we head into the 2007-08 season. Is the Big 12 a three horse race between Texas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska? Will USC avenge its late-season loss to UCLA and go undefeated in the Pac-10? Can West Virginia go undefated in the Big East and earn a trip to the national title game? And will the SEC title comedown to a second meeting between LSU and Florida?
