Shaquille O'Neal occasionally received some negative reviews in the past, but they rarely had anything to do with his on-court performance. Panned at times for his forays into acting and rapping, Shaq is now hearing questions about his viability as a basketball player.

Entering Wednesday's game against the Spurs, Shaq had averaged just 11.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in his first three games -- not bad numbers if you're Mark Blount but not exactly the norm for a charismatic star who has lebeled himself "The Most Dominant Ever."

Shaq turns 36 in March and last season marked the first time in his career that he averaged fewer than 20 points per game or played in fewer than half his team's games (averaging 17.3 points in 40 appearances).
