It wasn't supposed to be this way. Ken Griffey Jr. came home in 2000 to much fanfare. Three years later, The Great American Ball Park opened on the riverfront. If the Big Red Machine wasn't coming back, at least a little of the past Redleg glory would be restored.But now the Reds are mired in 5th place, and today they've fired manager Bob Boone and general manager Jim Bowden, while Griffey is out for the season, again.
