Vote: Is Kidd a good fit in Dallas?

Jason Kidd is returning to Dallas.
Just like you can't believe everything you hear from Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee on Capitol Hill, don't believe everything coming out of the mouths of NBA owners. Just weeks after Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban stated emphatically that he was not dealing for Jason Kidd, the veteran point guard is heading for Dallas.

The Mavericks are receiving the nine-time all-star along with Antoine Wright and Malik Allen in return for Devin Harris, Keith Van Horn, DeSagana Diop, Trenton Hassell, Maurice Ager and first-round draft picks in 2008 and 2010.

Are the Mavericks shooting themselves in the foot by giving up their valuable depth in the highly competitive Western Conference to acquire Kidd? Or will Kidd's on-court play, coupled with his leadership potential, put Dallas in a prime position to make a run for the title?
