Vote: Who will be the AL's Final Four?


As August gets rolling, the American League is crackling with hot pennant races. For starters, the Yankees and Red Sox are just 3½ games apart, and the Mariners and A's are separated by only four games. In the AL Central, three teams are within 4½ games, led by the surprising Royals. And the wild card race is even tighter.

Meanwhile, at the bottom of the standings, the Tigers are challenging the record for the fewest wins ever, and A-Rod's Rangers are miles back once again in the AL West.

We want to know how SportsNation thinks things will shape up in the AL. Vote below.
  • 1) Fact or Fiction: Having a dominant team like the Yankees is good for baseball.
  • 2) Fact or Fiction: The Angels aren't really a 'disappointment' -- they're just showing what a fluke their championship was last year.
  • 3) Fact or Fiction: Alex Rodriguez will eventually make the playoffs with the Rangers.
  • 4) Fact or Fiction: The Tigers are the worst team in your lifetime.
  • 5) Fact or Fiction: The Red Sox will make up their 3½-game deficit to the Yankees and win the AL East.

  • 7) Fact or Fiction: Being 4½ games behind the Royals and 1½ games behind the White Sox means the Twins are pretty much out of the AL Central race.
  • 8) Fact or Fiction: The A's will make up their 4-game deficit to the Mariners and win the AL West.
  • 9) Fact or Fiction: The AL wild card will come out of the AL West (Mariners or A's) instead of the AL East (Yankees or Red Sox).
