The 2008 NFL schedule is out! And that means it's time to start overanalyzing each team's schedule and making predictions for 2008. Sure, the NFL draft may not have arrived yet and training camps are months away, but that's not going to stop SportsNation from getting its picks in, right? But before you get to prognosticating, let's take a look back and see how SportsNation has fared in its quest to predict the Steelers' record in each of the past two years:

SportsNation Schedule Prediction History
2006
2007
SN Prediction:
15-1
12-4
Actual record:
8-8
10-6

Confidence Rewarded
There's not much to be critical about in terms of your 2007 picks, Pittsburgh fans. Sure, you might have overestimated the Steelers' win total by a couple of games, but overall, it was a very good effort. You knew games at Denver and at New England would be tough, and you correctly predicted both losses. However, you were confident your team would sweep bitter rival Cleveland, a confidence the Steelers rewarded with two victories.
