Vote: Chicago Bears in 2008

Bears

The 2008 NFL schedule is out! And that means it's time to start overanalyzing each team's schedule and making predictions for 2008. Sure, the NFL draft may not have arrived yet and training camps are months away, but that's not going to stop SportsNation from getting its picks in, right? But before you get to prognosticating, let's take a look back and see how SportsNation has fared in its quest to predict the Bears' record in each of the past two years:

13-3
15-1

Super Bowl Hangover

Making it to the Super Bowl is bound to rev up the optimism of any fan base heading into a new season. And that is exactly what happened with Bears fans, who expected their team to go 15-1 in 2007. However, you didn't need to be a football expert to figure out Rex Grossman would keep Chicago from matching the record of the legendary '85 Bears. Almost as shocking as the 15-1 overall expectation was the predicted 6-0 division record. It's a colossal task to go undefeated in any division in the NFL, so expecting perfection in the old "Black and Blue" was foolish, to say the least.
