Was it time for Randolph to go?
Some say New York is the city that never sleeps. The Mets put that to the test by firing a manager in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Was it time for a change, SportsNation?

The Mets fired Willie Randolph hours after he led the team to a win against the Angels, but that win only brought a team with championship expectations to within a game of .500 after more than two months of play. Bolstered by the offseason addition of pitching ace Johan Santana, the Mets still couldn't take control of the NL East.
