College GameDay: America's Vote!

Like Michigan State, SportsNation may have gotten a little fat on easy early pickings this season. After averaging fewer than four missed picks per week through the season's first seven weeks, voters whiffed seven times during a week of showdowns.

Things started well enough, with 53 percent of voters correctly picking TCU to knock off previously unbeaten BYU, but it was downhill from there. Only 39 percent of voters thought Texas would knock off Missouri, but that was still better than the mere 37 percent who picked Ohio State to win on the road at Michigan State. Throw in Vanderbilt's loss against Georgia and surprise losses for Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and California, and things spiraled out of control.

Getting back on track this week won't be easy, not with No. 1 Texas facing another tough challenge from No. 6 Oklahoma State. What will happen?

SN's Week 8 record: 12-7
Season Total Record: 120-31
