Vote: What's in store for college basketball?

Expectations are high at UNC and UConn.
It might be hard to believe, but the college basketball season is about to get underway. Before it tips off, however, we want SportsNation to pick the regular-season winner of each of the major conferences and take a shot at forecasting the national title winner.

North Carolina enters the 2008-09 season in familiar territory, as the No. 1 ranked team in the country. Expectations are high for the Tar Heels (as they always seem to be), particularly with the return of Tyler Hansbrough. Will North Carolina win the ACC regular-season title and the national title this season?

Like North Carolina, much is expected from UConn this season, as indicated by its No. 2 ranking. But how will the Huskies fare in the ultra-competitive Big East, a conference that boasts seven teams in the nation's preseason top 25 poll?

Project all the winners, and then see the SportsNation forecast for the 2008-09 college basketball season!
