If a relief pitcher can't win this year, he never can. Then again, bullpen aces Eric Gagne and John Smoltz may split the vote this year and allow a starting pitcher -- Kevin Brown, Hideo Nomo, Russ Ortiz or Mark Prior -- to waltz in.
