Isiah Thomas made his first blockbuster deal today, acquiring Stephon Marbury and Penny Hardaway from the Suns for Antonio McDyess and several other players and draft picks.
It's a good news-bad news deal for the Knicks. Marbury gives them a chance to make a playoff run, and Hardaway should contribute as well. But the trade also makes a bad salary cap situation worse for the next few years.
