Robinson Cano's big payday?

It's not a good time to be a Yankees fan -- not only has the team missed the playoffs for the first time in forever, but their best player looks to be willing to test the market in free agency. Robinson Cano said that he'll take his time in free agency, and considering that Buster Olney is reporting that Cano is seeking a 10-year, $305 million contract, he's apparently spending much of that time figuring out what he'll do with all that money. Cano is one of the game's best players, but long-term contracts have a history of backfiring around year six or seven, and the fact that his contract would start with a "3" should make even the Yankees pause.
