Is Georgia a legitimate contender?
If you turned the channel for just a moment, there was a good chance that you missed a score in the Georgia-LSU game. It was a high-scoring, back-and-forth affair in which the Bulldogs snapped the Tigers' 29-game win streak in the month of September with a 44-41 win. Quarterbacks Aaron Murray and Zach Mettenberger showed out with performances of 298 yards and four touchdowns, and 372 yards and three touchdowns, respectively. That might have been a nod to the officials, who set the tone early by letting the defense play and not calling ticky-tack penalties. What does this win mean for Georgia's championship hopes? Which team will win the SEC East? Which team will win the West?
