Syracuse loses first game
Syracuse finally suffered its first loss of the season with a 62-59 heartbreaker against Boston College. The Orange led by eight after the first half, but the Eagles stormed back with a 33-point second half to take the game to overtime. A couple of 3-pointers and four straight free throws for Boston College in the final 30 seconds meant that Syracuse dropped from the ranks of the unbeaten, leaving Wichita State as the last remaining Top 25 team without a loss. Syracuse was unlikely to keep up its streak for the entire season, but the fact that it lost to 7-19 Boston College wasn't something many people saw coming.
