More trouble for DeMarcus Cousins
Just look at DeMarcus Cousins' numbers: 22.3 points per game, 11.5 rebounds, 1.59 steals, a 25.75 player efficiency rating (sixth in the NBA). And yet, all is not right for a player long known for behavior issues and a lack of defensive effort. His Sacramento Kings, as expected, are battling with the Los Angeles Lakers to stay out of the basement in the Western Conference (they're 20-37 through Thursday). And, on Thursday, Cousins was hit with a one-game suspension and $20,000 fine after he hit the Houston Rockets' Patrick Beverly and later went ballistic on a referee in a game Tuesday. To his credit, Cousins apologized on Twitter and certainly is having the best season of his career. But questions still swirl despite the big man having inked a four-year, $62 million deal with Sacramento in the offseason.
