New sliding rule for MLB?

Collisions might have been banned, but there is still controversy at home, as a pair of calls in Friday night's 3-2 Miami Marlins win over the New York Mets has people talking. The latest idea, from Mets manager Terry Collins: that MLB soon will adopt college's rule, in which baserunners must slide into home on contested plays and catchers cannot drop down and use their shin guards to block the plate. Will it happen?
