Lions cut Nate Burleson
Nate Burleson has been with the Lions since 2010, but his declining production caused the team to cut him, despite his willingness to restructure his deal. Burleson was set to make about $7.5 million against the cap this season, something the Lions decided they couldn't afford due to his recent injuries. Burleson has played only 15 games in the past two seasons, catching three touchdowns. When healthy, he's a solid option, but his injuries have been bizarre -- this is the same guy who broke his arm in a car crash after trying to save a pizza from falling off the front seat.
