Cabrera, Tigers improve in 2014?

Good news, Detroit Tigers fans: Miguel Cabrera says he feels "free" after undergoing offseason surgery to repair damaged core muscles. And given that the slugger won his second American League MVP award in 2013, that could mean big things this coming season. Add this to ace Justin Verlander, who underwent similar surgery and called his injury a "blessing," and talk is positive surrounding Motown baseball (SweetSpot ranked the Tigers No. 2 in MLB for 2014, even with Prince Fielder now in Texas and an underwhelming season in the rearview). How will the Tigers fare?
