NFL playoff expansion?

The NFL's plan to expand the playoffs to 14 teams probably won't go into effect this season, although NFL commissioner Roger Goodell didn't rule out the possibility of more postseason games this season. The league has been discussing the possibilty of expanding the playoffs for several years now, but there are still a number of questions they'll need to answer -- when the extra games will be played, how byes should be handled -- before implementing such a big change. There's also the issue of just how much football is too much -- Mark Cuban brought up the possibility that too much NFL can be a bad thing, and this could be playing right into that idea.
