Warriors fire Mark Jackson

The Golden State Warriors have experienced more success in the past two seasons than in the previous 20-odd years. But the time was not without tumult, and so coach Mark Jackson finds himself out of a job after three years in Oakland, Calif. Many current Warriors players said they supported Jackson, but he also clashed with the front office and other staff members during his tenure. Steve Kerr, Stan Van Gundy and Lionel Hollins have been mentioned as candidates to lead the enticing core led by Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala.
