Before the final game, majority of SportsNation's United States voters predicted (non-bias, of course) that America would snag the Confederations Cup title, believing the "miracle on grass" was about to get that much more miraculous. What did the rest of the world (and curiously Montana) think? Well, not what the United States thought. It believed soccer-heavyweight Brazil would easily defeat the U.S., and would win by multiple goals.

In the end, SportsNation's United States voters were incorrect, as Brazil prevailed by a single goal.

But has this tournament changed your perception of United States soccer? After watching the Confederations Cup, how do you think the U.S. will do in the 2010 World Cup? Let us know by voting below.

The U.S. played well today, and yes, we have some work to do, but as a country we have never cared more about soccer. We are going in the right direction, we just need to continue to let loose the inferior players we still have on this team.

This tournament gives me hope that the U.S. can get out of the first round and hopefully to the quarters in the World Cup. And from there, who knows? Anything can happen!
