The quarterfinals are under way for the women at Wimbledon, but SportsNation already seems to have its eyes on the semifinals. With the top four seeds in action, voters are leaning heavily on the favorites. Top seed Dinara Safina is the pick of eight out of 10 voters to beat Sabine Lisicki, and that actually makes her the closest thing to an upset special on the docket.

But if there's not much debate when it comes to which players are expected to advance to the semifinals, there is a discussion contentious enough to replace the Prime Minister's Questions when it comes to the noise level at Wimbledon and elsewhere on the tennis circuit. Chris Evert says the increasing levels of grunting and shrieking distract from matches. All we know is that whether or not it's a competitive issue, it's not nearly as annoying as those horns during the Confederations Cup.

I'd give Serena a little better percentage over Azarenka. Not saying that she (Azarenka) isn't a good player, but it's like all the media that everyone has given her almost a la Maria, that Serena will come out with her game face on and be on fire. That adds an extra 10% right there.

Alert to women's tennis players: Please show minimal emotion. Try not to exert much effort. Grunting noises have no place in country club sports. Tennis is not above reproach.
