Paying something in the vicinity of $900 million for a baseball franchise, even one that comes with Wrigley Field, part of a cable sports network and presumably free nachos for life, brings to mind Monopoly money. But while SportsNation seems to think the reported sale price of the Cubs would be a better deal for the selling Tribune Co. than the buying Ricketts family, how valuable are the Cubs?

Is the corner of Clark and Addison in the Windy City more Park Place or Baltic Avenue? Keep this handy chart in mind while ranking the most valuable properties in pro sports.

Cub's World Series appearances: 16. Cub's World Series wins: 2. $900 million reasons to care less when (or IF) the Cub's will EVER win another? PRICELESS!

i don't get this at all if i was the Tribune Co. i would not stand for this. they had a higher offer from Mark Cuban to buy the team and they own the team so why aren't they allowed to sell to the highest bidder? if someone offers you $1.2 Billion dollars vs. less then $900 Million you always take the higher amount. they are losing over $300 million dollars on this deal.

    • matt (America)Matt, how do you see the division finishing and what are their records? How do you rate the QBs in division as well?
    • Mosley Matt from America:I think the Cowboys will finish 11-5, the Giants will be 10-6 and the Eagles will be 9-7. It's going to be fun down the stretch. Eagles might slip into the playoffs with that record. This is just how the QBs are playing at this very moment:1. McNabb2. Manning3. Romo4. Campbell
    • Scott (Dallas)Matt, how do you see the Cowboys oline sorting out over the next couple years? Flozell and Gurode will likely be cut. Should they draft a LT in round one and move Free to LG or C?
