Alberto Contador took the yellow jersey on Sunday at the Tour de France with Astana teammate Lance Armstrong moving up to second place in the standings but still losing time overall to Contador.
Armstrong, 37, is now saying he won't make a move to overtake his teammate in an effort to win his seventh Tour title. Our question for you is, will a loss here diminish Lance's legacy?
“Case closed. Lance was solid today, for a 37-year-old, that was out of this world. But Contador is the man. He will continue to dominate in the mountains and he's vastly improved in the TT, too. In all fairness, this could've been his third straight TdF title if they didn't absurdly bar the Astana team last year. He doesn't have anything else to prove as he's already won a Giro and Vuelta and now headed for a second Tour win.

“Contador again shows he is in a class of his own on the climbs. Lance is doing great for being out of the sport for so long and at age 37. Watch out for wiggins though, he could spoil the Astana party. ... To me. Lance not winning doesn't do anything to diminish his legacy. He won 7, and if he is competitive after a 4 year layoff at age 37, what more can you ask?

“Good stage today. Too bad for us Americans though, Levi Leipheimers gone, now Vande Velde is no longer the leader of Garmin, and Contador shows he is the leader of Astana.

“You can't blame Armstrong for seeking to win if he were indeed the best out there. Now that Contador showed how strong he really is, Armstrong is not going to have problems supporting him.
