And we mean "dirtiest" literally, of course. Did you see the cap he wore in his first news conference? All right, so we know Brett Favre shouldn't be leading too many sweeps, but aside from a crackback block that more fans than not considered a dirty play, the old man looked pretty good in his first extended action with the Vikings.

You can watch what the Monday Night Football crew had to say about Favre's effort below, but what are your reviews? Love him, hate him or just wish you never had to hear his name again, how much better are the Vikings going to be with him?

Yea it was a dirty block... and he was penalized and probably will be fined for it... but you're all acting like this is something rare in the NFL... this stuff happens almost weekley I'm willing to bet... But considering this is Favre we're talking about here (the easiest scape goat in the world) it's like the world has ended... Favre gets more scrutiny than anyone else and it's sad, he's done nothing wrong other than being tormented with if he's ready to leave the game or not.

Favre looked ok. He competed safe short passes to guys who were able to add a few yards after the catch. He showed good ball and game management. He was 0-3 on deep passes but showed some decent footwork. Maybe with time he will get more familar throwing to moving targets downfield, but with the skill guys that Minn has in Peterson, Harvin and Shiancoe I think this is the offense you will see from Minn. If they hadn't had so many penalties on offense they would have put up some more points. Favre should face a fine for the block.

Alright...Vikings fan here...Favre played well, didn't do anything stupid (*besides the block of course*), and managed the offense well. He wasn't fantastic or anything, and we won't need him to be. We'll need him to do just about what he did last night. Complete short passes from time to time, and hand the ball off to AP. With that the offense should be damn hard to stop. It would have been nice to see Harvin haul in that endzone toss though, it was pretty much a perfect throw.
