Life could be worse for Florida and Texas fans today. For instance, they could be USC fans making room for Pac-10 co-favorite Cal. But if you listen to the grumbling in SportsNation, the Gators and Longhorns aren't unbeaten enough. Florida beat a conference rival by double digits, but a 10-point win against Tennessee left some wondering if Lane Kiffin got the last laugh, or at least a moral victory. Meanwhile, Texas won its first two games by 30-plus points, but a 10-point win against Texas Tech wasn't enough payback for many.

utfan089: "I think Kiffin showed recruits around the nation that Tenn is somewhere they will want to come for years to come. I'm not going to lie, I knew Tennessee was going to lose, but the way they performed shocked me. Wait until next year when [Tim Tebow] is gone, and FL has to come to Knoxville. I don't think that game went the way, Urban or TT thought it would." -- Read the full post.

AustinBrando: "This is no time to coast on laurels or to begin working on finesse and pocket [presence]. What made Colt (and Tebow) a Heisman hopeful last year was the sheer tenacity and dynamic he brought to the field when he played. When he plowed that Rice defender on the goal line to score a TD he looked like a man [possessed] and his team felt it. The last 3 games feel like Colt is not as passionate about what he's doing." -- Read the full post.

nunyabiz81: "Cal looks for real this time. It's still a little bit hard to feel sure, considering the teams they've played so far. But I'm surprised by the progress Kevin Riley has made as a quarterback, and out of all the names you've heard every week since the summer as Heisman candidates...Best was the best." -- Read the full post.
