The Race For The No. 1 Pick

Forget the Giants, Colts, Ravens, Jets and other teams with apparently rosy futures; we've got until February to figure out the NFL's best team. With three weeks in the books and the Lions -- who held down No. 32 in SportsNation's Power Rankings for the final 12 weeks of last season -- already in the win column, the question is which team resides at the bottom of the NFL food chain?

Considering the three starting quarterbacks in Florida now appear to be David Garrard, Chad Henne and Josh Johnson, that seems like a good place to start. But given Eric Mangini's mess in Cleveland, having quarterbacks with name recognition isn't necessarily a cure. Many in SportsNation blogs are already lamenting -- or lampooning -- seasons lost.

First of all there is no benefit to having a 300 lbs qb if he's affraid to take a hit and falls down every time somebody gets in the backfield with him. He is going to kill his wide recievers! He leads all of them directly into linebackers looking to take their heads off. I don't know how that Murphy kid does it." -- Read the full post.

The Browns will have the No. 1 pick next year so start picking who you want. I want Dez Bryant as a player. But, I never thought I would say this but I want Romeo back." -- Read the full post.
