The Segway and Al Capone's vault? Not even remotely worth the hype. The iPhone? Most definitely worth the hubbub. Brett Favre? After Monday night's vintage effort in a win against the Packers, we're in agreement with almost 90 percent of SportsNation. As impossible as it seemed in the middle of August, he's living up to the hype.

But the hype machine never slows, so it's on to the team around Favre. The Vikings opened the season at No. 8 in SportsNation's Power Rankings. Despite a 3-0 start, they had only climbed to No. 6 entering Monday's Metrodome showdown. Now one of five teams sitting at 4-0, along with the Broncos, Colts, Giants and Saints, are the Vikings Super Bowl material?

Yawn. With the Vikes O line, D line, and All World RB, Tarvaris Jackson would have won this game. I am much more impressed with Rodgers in a losing effort than with Favre given his many advantages.
