Not Such A Fantasy Week

Talk about a fantasy week that could have brought on atrocious results! SOLID players who are usually scoring double-digit points wound up as bottom-feeders in fantasy this week. (In fact, one of my players had such a bad game that I was frantically checking injury reports and sending mass texts such as, "Is [blank] even playing?!")

But perhaps even more bizarre were the fantasy players who actually had the best week. Case in point, this Sunday's top-scoring WR, RB and QB: Miles Austin, Ahmad Bradshaw and Matt Hasselbeck. That's right, a first-time starter, a No. 2 back and a QB with broken ribs. Don't ya just love fantasy?

Carson Palmer

Screw Carson Palmer! Last year I drafted him and Ochocinco in the first 5 rounds of my Fantasy Football draft, dooming myself for the entire season. NOW they play like I expected them to play last year.

Miles Austin

Did you see the jump ball Miles Austin caught? Exceptional! Did you see the slant route he caught with the defender on his back. Romo put the ball in the correct place but Austin caught it and kept moving. The man caught 10 passes for 250! ... Roy Williams is the #1, Austin #2 and Crayton # 3.

    MNF: Titans vs. Texans!
    • Aaron SchatzI don't have the percentages handy. A lot of 10-6 teams get wild cards. 9-7 not so much. Even 8-8 may be tough. The Titans still have to play the Colts, the Chargers, and the Cardinals. The Dolphins aren't pushovers either. And of course, they have a good opponent tonight.
    • Justin (Arizona)Who wins tonight?
    • Aaron SchatzLike every Monday night since Ron Jaworski finally joined the MNF booth, the answer is "you, the viewer."
