With apologies to the Wellfleet OysterFest in Wellfleet, Mass. and the Keene Pumpkin Festival in Keene, N.H., this seems like a good weekend to barricade the doors and figure out just how little one human being can move for about 48 hours (if you need guidance, follow Joe Torre's example in studiously avoiding that long walk to the mound in the fifth inning last night).

From a pair of baseball games Friday night through two huge rivalry games on the college gridiron Saturday and a battle of NFL unbeatens Sunday, this just might be the best sports weekend so far this year. And that's not even counting Saturday's Sharks-Islanders game. But if the lure of oysters and pumpkins -- hopefully not together -- is too much, what are you making sure you're home for?

I think one very overlooked point in all of this is that Games 3 & 7 are basically guaranteed wins for the Angels. I have yet to see any article/blog/post etc comment on the fact that Andy Pettitte has been ROCKED by Anaheim for as long as I can remember. He clearly looked great against Minnesota the other day, but let's be honest, Minnesota never stood a chance in that series.

OU's players are relaxed and ready to have fun, there isn't as much pressure on them as the years past. Anybody who thinks this is Texas' game to win and OU hasn't a chance, get ready for a long day.

After all that talk about Drew Brees shattering Tom Brady's touchdown record with 9 after two games, he hasn't thrown one in the last two. Eli Manning - the OTHER Manning - has more TD's than Mr. Superstar Brees.
