Jay Cutler Is Mark Cuban right about steroids?

Not many owners are willing to talk candidly about steroids, but as you're all undoubtedly aware, Mark Cuban is somewhat of an exception to the usual model of restraint. Speaking at the University of Pittsburgh, Cuban said that, if administered in a supervised manner in order to help injury recovery, he is not against players using steroids. David Stern must be thrilled.

All kidding aside, Cuban may have a point. SportsNation is generally not a fan of steroid usage, but the question is why. Is it simply due to the fact that they're illegal, or does something about them make them worse than other offenses? For Cuban, it seems like a matter of a technicality, but what do you think?

How would you know when they are using it to get better from an injury or using it to gain an advantage and how would you test for it? It would open the door for them all to do it, I'm afraid.

Steroids taints the game. Whether it basketball, football, baseball, players will have a edge that others won't. It also is a slap in face of all the great ones who came before the athletes of today.
