It's not as if the weekend schedule is a barren wasteland of more tricks than treats, but SportsNation seems to be in a bit of a surly mood when it comes to college football. Be it the ongoing travails of SEC officials, respect for the little guys or just downright bad football, bloggers have had it up to here.

• "[M]any SEC officials are graduates of SEC schools who love football; the SEC does not permit officials who graduated from an SEC school to officiate at that school's games, and Alabama and Florida have been hugely successful in the SEC and have more big rivalry games than most teams. Hmmm, as you can see, the blatantly obvious facts demonstrate that the SEC officials calling Alabama and Florida games probably graduated from rivals of those schools. Of course, one could deduce from these facts that these officials, these diabolical officials, are making these calls on purpose, plainly erring in a way that anyone could see benefits these two top teams." • "Let's get this straight.... The "system" has been VERY kind to Boise State. We have an excellent program and team. That being said... we gots a lot of work to do and tradition to build. It takes time. If we keep going in the right direction; we'll get the respect. Reality check... • "Virginia Tech's loss to North Carolina has proven that maybe just one team is deserved this season of some accolades. But, even then with the way the ACC has played this season, it would not surprise me if the Yellow Jackets fell once again.
