The Lakers are suffering through a three-game losing streak for the first time since they acquired Pau Gasol midway through the 2007-08 season, and Gasol is suffering through his coach's trademark verbal barbs among other ailments. It has been a long time since the Lakers weren't one of SportsNation's top two teams -- not long on the timeline of James Cameron movie's but lengthy nonetheless. You have to go all way back to the middle of November to find a time when voters didn't place the Lakers in one of those top two slots.
