Today's story: Jabar Gaffney responds to Twitter taunts by telling fan to "get a life or kill urself."

• krzanowski2: "When will these athletes learn? If you don't have good self-control, don't use Twitter. If you cannot just shrug off an obvious troll and block him, don't use Twitter. It doesn't matter what the context is; athletes should know by now that the media will jump all over any Twitter controversy. If you are so sensitive that you feel the need to respond to an idiot fan immediately, you shouldn't be on social networks."
• FutureSoonerTurner: "As long as you're using old sayings, how about treat others how you would want to be treated? Telling someone to go kill themselves shows a lack of common decency. As does people defending it."
• slfcontent4: "I can understand what Gaffney means, but at the end of the day, he is a professional athlete. He should know that his every move will be scrutinized. Yes, the Cowboys fan was stirring the pot, but being a man in his position, why in the hell did he not take the high road on this one? Yes, it is just a saying, but that is also a downfall in society."
• Twiztid_One: "I am a Cowboys fan, but this is 50/50. Pros or famous folk need to understand they are more in the spotlight than the rest of us. I understand what he meant, and I am sure it wasn't malicious. ANYTHING they do is gonna get attention, regardless what the overall intent is. The fan need not to have gone and said whatever he said."
