The Red Sox are reportedly trying to move Josh Beckett before the trade deadline, but it'll be difficult to do so without some fancy maneuvering. Should Boston really be trying to trade him at this point?
chrisfifield35: "Yeah this will help our rotation..he showed he wants to stay when he argued with the ump in the 9th because if he didn't care he wouldn't of said squat plus we dont have anyone good to replace Beckett so it would be dumb to trade him at the deadline for nothing good"
GinoC200: "Both Beckett and the Sox would benefit from a change of scenery. He's worn out his shelf life in Boston."
Oldson50: "I don't care if they can only get 50 cents on the dollar based on this guys past performance, he is so symbolic of everything that is wrong with them, they need to get rid of him now and start over."
tMartin2002: "Beckett has been giving us "quality starts" and has not let up a home run in over a month. We are not going to get anyone for him that does the same. I don't like the guy but the Sox should use their heads here."
JayShapiro11: "Whether or not a trade happens, all the speculation is a logical result of what started sometime last year - lack of performance, lack of conditioning, and a sour disposition and entitled attitude (somewhere Manny Ramirez is laughing)."
