Should the Red Sox fire Bobby Valentine?

Let's face it, Red Sox Nation -- your team is probably not going to make the playoffs. It's already below .500, and with reports that Red Sox players had a contentious meeting with management over manager Bobby Valentine, it doesn't look like they're going to go on a run any time soon. Dustin Pedroia denied that players wanted Valentine fired, but the manager's position within the organization is very shaky.

Who's to blame?

Bobby Valentine's management style might not mesh with the Red Sox, but several of his star players are drastically underperforming.

Power outage?

Dustin Pedroia, for instance, is getting on base at only a .332 clip, while Adrian Gonzalez has managed a paltry 13 home runs this season.

Weak arms?

Both Josh Beckett and Jon Lester have ERAs over 5.00 this season, while Daniel Bard's transition to the starting rotation was an unmitigated disaster.
